Raygun Cowboys
Raygun Cowboys est un groupe de pshychobilly punk rock n roll sorti directement des meilleures tavernes et pool rooms d'Edmonton. Ces hooligans influencés par les années 50 jouent un rockabilly â haute intensité avec des éléments de punk rock n roll qui feront danser les foules de la première â la dernière chanson.
Formé en 2000, les Rayguns ont commencé â jouer localement et sont vite devenus le groupe de choix pour supporter leurs comparses en tournée dans l'Ouest. Les premiers enregistrements des Cowboys sont parus en 2005 sur la compilation Zombie Night in Canada 2 suivi de leur premier album Underworld Boogie en 2006. Ils ont pris la route peu de temps après, amenant leur son pshycho jive déjanté â une légion de fans d'un côté â l'autre du pays. En 2007, ils ont ajouté â leur 3 pièces rockabilly traditionnel une section cuivre. 2 albums complets ont suivi en plus de tournées dans tous les coins du pays incluant des apparitions remarquées dans les meilleurs festivals du Canada comme le North County Fair, Folk on the Rocks, Beaumont Blues fest, Hotrod Hootenanny et le Salmon Arm Blues et Roots Festival. En 2010-2011, Les Rayguns ont parcouru l'Europe, enregistré leur 3e album, Heads are Gonna Roll, en plus de soutenir la légende rockabilly Wanda Jackson au festival Folk d'Edmonton. Rempli d'histoires de goules décadentes et de débauche terrifiante, Heads Are Gonna Roll compte 11 pistes acclamées par la critique, amenant le groupe au premier plan de la sène psychobilly.
Et maintenant, les mauvais garçons du rockabilly sont de retour en ville avec The Cowboy Code! Onze chansons qui rappellent l’époque des maisons closes et des speakeasies enfumés tout en conservant un style moderne au style rockabilly classique. Avec un cover sincère de leurs bons amis "Painful Reminder" de SNFU et un hommage au cyborg futuriste préféré de tous, "Robocop", cet album est une nécessité absolue pour les rockeurs du monde entier.

Raygun Cowboys are a psychobilly punk rock n' roll band hailing from the very best dive bars and poolrooms of Edmonton, AB. This 50's influenced 5-piece outfit plays insanely high-energy badass rockabilly with elements of punk and rock n roll that instantly gets people on the dance floor from the first to the last.
Formed in 2000, the Cowboys started playing local shows and quickly became the band of choice to support touring acts in western Canada.. The band hit the road shortly after and toured coast to coast several times bringing their suped-up psycho juke joint jive to a legion of fans across the country. In 2007 they added a killer horn section in the form of Nate Connolly, Mike Johnson, and most currently Jonny McCormack, Zach Semanuik, and Mike Androschuck to their traditional 3 piece rockabilly line up. The Cowboys have released five studio albums with the latest being 2017’s Cowboy Code. Following the release of the Cowboy Code original members Derek Thiesen and Oakland Valleau left the group to focus on family and other projects, while Jon Christopherson (Vox/Guitar) has kept constant touring with the addition of Brett Reid on Drums and Aaron (Zerk) Naveau on upright bass. 2017 and 2018 have seen the Cowboys tour Europe and Canada multiple times with friends The Real McKenzies, The Dreadnoughts, and Canadian punk legends DOA. This year the band has finished recording for their upcoming Stomp Records release “Bloodied but Unbroken” 10 tracks that will knock you on your ass and keep you coming back for more. They will be touring Europe in September and North America in October/November 2019. Keep your ear to the ground, new Raygun Cowboys is on its way1
