Cross Dog
CROSS DOG est un groupe de punk hardcore expérimental bruyant centré sur la bass, originaire de Peterborough, en Ontario. Même si leur musique atteint des volumes époustouflants, le message socialement engagé du groupe transcende le bruit qu’ils génèrent.
L'omission intentionnelle d'un guitariste n’enlève absolument rien au trio sauvage. Affirmant le pouvoir de la règle de trois, Tracy A (chant), Mark Rand (basse) et Mikey Reid (batterie) avancent avec une force multiplicative et font exploser les limites potentielles de leur limitation instrumentale. Les rythmes sont hard et les riffs lourds, se développant dans une puissance brute qui dépasse de loin la somme de ses parties. Les quatre cordes de basse distordues constituent la toile de fond parfaite pour la voix féroce et provocatrice de Tracy. Utilisant le groupe comme véhicule, elle délivre un message résolument féministe, imprégné de rage avec une intensité sur scène qui commande l'attention.
Des sous-sols aux scènes de festivals, ils ont joué aux côtés de plusieurs groupes légendaires tels que The Misfits, Metz, Cancer Bats, Good Riddance, War on Women, Fucked Up, Dayglo Abortions et bien d'autres. Ils sont actuellement en studio avec le producteur Scott Middleton (ancien guitariste de Cancer Bats) et travaillent sur leur prochain album qui sortira en 2024 sur Stomp Records.

Formed in 2013, the intentional omission of a guitarist from the lineup leaves Cross Dog lacking absolutely nothing.
